Why we use WordPress

There are a variety of options on the table, but we believe WordPress is the best content management system (CMS) available.

The Internet is filled with reviews outlining the differences between WordPress and other content management systems. The issue is that each answer only triggers more questions. Will this CMS support my vision for the website? Is this platform flexible enough to adapt to future changes? Can my staff even navigate through this system?

Thankfully, we have done the research for you and we have come to our own conclusion. Here are 5 main reasons why we use WordPress.


Documentation—Nearly 20% of the web runs on WordPress. Think about that for a moment. One in five sites that you have visited were developed using a WordPress platform. With that said, there is a huge community behind WordPress and it’s something that continues to grow each day. Despite what you’re trying to accomplish, there is a good chance there is already a forum post, article, or video outlining the process.

Security—Considering WordPress is the foundation of so many websites, security is a huge priority for the CMS. Over 270 contributors worked on the latest version of WordPress. Yes, contributors. These individuals aren’t being paid. They simply do it because they love to contribute to the web. With passion like that fueling the CMS, it’s understandable why WordPress adapts more quickly to security threats and new technology compared to other platforms.


Easy to use backend—When searching for a CMS it’s crucial to think about the functionality of the backend of the website. You want a CMS that allows you to make changes with ease, not something you’re going to waste 30 minutes trying to determine how to edit the navigation menu. WordPress is simple to use despite your level of website development.


We love using WordPress because it is so search engine friendly! It’s one of the best, if not the best CMS when it comes to search engine optimization (SEO). With the appropriate plugins you can easily add keyword-rich URL titles, optimize meta information, update XML sitemaps and so much more. We always recommend converting your website to WordPress when working on SEO practices.


Easy to customize frontend—Out of the box WordPress comes with a handful of themes, but you can find thousands of themes across the Internet. These themes change the look of your website, but they don’t effect your content. This allows you to edit or swap themes out at any time while keeping your website fully functioning. Even better, you can customize these themes to meet your branding. There’s no need to reinvent the wheel when you can customize a pre-existing theme to meet your marketing goals.


Lastly, with over 30,000 plugins, WordPress is incredibly flexible. These plugins have allowed us to create e-commerce sites, a web presence for mom-and-pop stores, and even websites for other marketing firms. The list of plugins and functionality is endless. This flexibility works incredibly well for our clients because as their business grows, so does their website. We don’t have to create a website from scratch to tackle a new project. We simply pick-up where we left off.
